Jean’s Beaded Jewelry

Original posted on 2-7-07 and now moved here.

I recently got back in touch with a friend of mine, Jean. We worked together for many years, and when she retired, we spoke only infrequently. A few weeks ago we talked and she told me she had been making beaded jewelry and selling her pieces on the Oregon coast, specifically Manzanita, where she and her husband have a second home. She was surprised to see that the pieces were selling, because she had so much fun making them, she couldn’t believe she was getting paid to do it!

I’m featuring some of her pieces on my website, www.northwestjewelry.com and my eBay store, http://stores.ebay.com/Northwest-Jewelry_W0QQsspagenameZMEQ3aFQ3aSTQQtZkm.

Here’s a sample of a few of her pieces:

This beautiful earring and necklace set is made of all natural green jade, turquoise, carnelian, green quartz and freshwater pearls.

Here’s some earrings she handcrafted:

Look at the detail!

These are made of silver, beads, and chrysoprase. I just love the colors!

I don’t have a creative bone in my body, so I really appreciate not only the time it took her to make these detailed pieces, but also her use of different natural gemstones, crystals, beads, and silver in creative and colorful ways.

You can see more of Jean’s beautiful jewelry by visiting me at our website or eBay store!
