I thought I’d take a break from showing Northwest Jewelry’s new items in order to tell you a little about were we live!
I am very lucky to live in the Pacific Northwest, where the climate is mild and the scenary beautiful. I live in Salem, Oregon, which is about an hour away from Lincoln City, an Oregon coastal town,

and about three hours from Bend, which is a popular high desert town in Central Oregon where skiing at Mt. Bachelor is a winter pasttimeÂ
Â
and white water rafting a summer pasttime.

We’re also only about 50 minutes from Portland, the state’s largest city. Portland has an international airport and is located on the the Willamette River. The Portland waterfront has lots of activity, and you can walk along the boardwalk between the yachts and the storefronts with fine restaurants and art galleries, until you reach Waterfront Park, where the annual Blue Festival is held every July 4th.

We live in a house we bought about 16 years ago. It’s about 5 miles out of Salem and located at the dead end of a road on a hill with a view of the Salem city lights. We also have marvelous sunsets–here’s last night’s:

I was born and raised in Salem, and although I’ve visited lots of other places, Oregon is my home. Even with all the rain, which we’re famous for!

I’ve never been to the Pacific Northwest or Oregon specifically, but your pictures and descriptions just might prompt me to visit. The scenery pics are beautiful.
I’m an east coast gal myself, NJ is my home, and I’ve been as far as PA and up to Maine. The Pacific Northwest’s reputation precedes itself ~ what a lovely, wild place to be, yet plenty of civilized goodies also! Lovely lovely sunset. Lovely pics!
