Citrines are clarity type I, meaning when grading them, we expect them to be “eye-clean”, i.e. it’s difficult to see any flaws in the stone without magnification.  This means they almost always look beautifully clear, with no visible inclusions.

Citrines are a 7 on the Mohs Hardness Scale , making them very suitable for all types of jewelry, including rings, necklaces, earrings, and bracelets.  Citrine gemstones are usually heat-treated, as our many of gemstones used in fine jewelry, and this treatment is permanent.

Citrine jewelry should not be cleaned with an ultrasonic machine and using a steamer is risky.  The best way to clean citrine jewelry is with warm soapy water.  This will insure it will last for a lifetime!
