Two pairs of 14K Heart Earrings for Valentine’s Day

Well, we’re back from Kauai and I’ve put it off long enough–back to work!
Northwest Jewelry has lots of new inventory–and I’ve been trying to stock up on heart shaped rings, necklaces, and earrings for Valentine’s Day!  Heart shaped jewelry is great any time of the year, but so wonderful to get or give on this most [...]

Back to Kauai’s North Shore

The first day we were here, we visited the north shore, but rushed through it so fast, we missed some places we wanted to see.  The first of them is the Kilauea Lighthouse and the Kilauea Wildlife Refuge.
The lighthouse is postcard-worthy (well, maybe not with me taking the picture, but you know what I mean):

Gorgeous, [...]

The Na Pali Coastline on Kauai

Yesterday, we took a catamaran ocean trip along the Na Pali coastline.  The trip was 6 hours long and one of the best ocean trips I’ve been on.
Here’s our catamaran:

It’s the Lucky Lady and the tour company is Kauai Sea Tours .  We were real happy with their tour and would recommend them.
We’ve been on quite [...]

East, South and West Kauai

During the past two days, we’ve explored the east shore (where we’re staying), the south shore, and the west shore (at least as far as we could go–the road ends about 1/3 of the way up at the Na Pali Coast).
The day before yesterday, we visited two stunning waterfalls and a Hindu monastery.
‘Opaeka’a Falls is [...]

What Happens at Home When We’re Gone……

We’re getting ready to head off to the south shore.  I thought I’d check my email before we left, and received three pictures and comments from my daughter-in-law to be.  This will teach us to leave our son and her home alone with the dogs……
Here are her comments about the pictures:
So we took Cassie and Star out [...]

More Kauai Pictures

Yesterday we explored the North Shore of Kauai.  We drove until the very end of the Kuhio Highway, which stops at the northwest tip of the island. There’s no highway running the west side of the island, which seems to be typical of the Hawaiian islands, i.e. Maui and parts of the Big Island.
Oh, before [...]

Off to Kauai

Because of Rick’s precast concrete business, we’re so busy in the spring, summer and fall that we don’t take any vacations other than weekends away to the beach or casino (or both!).  In the winter, though, we try to take a couple of week-long vacations.
We on our second vacation of the winter now.  We’re in Kauai, [...]

I’ve been lucky enough to have access to a lot of Lorenzo designer jewelry pieces in the past few months.  I’ve found them all to be well-made, colorful, unique, and attractive to almost everyone.  I’ll be showcasing many of these pieces, along with our other fine jewelry pieces, during the coming weeks.
Here’s the first of [...]
