Citrine, November’s birthstone, is a member of the quartz family, as is amethyst.  It is found in plentiful amounts in Brazil, and is also found in Spain and Bolivia.  It normally comes yellow to orange to brownish orange, but some beautiful varieties are a beautiful red.
Here’s an example of the typical yellow citrine gemstone:

Sunset at the Oregon Coast

I’ve got a few more Michael Godard limited editions pictures to show you, but got a chance to go to the beach today and got some nice shots of the sunset.  We’ll get to Godard later!
Here’s the sun at about 4:30pm  on the Pacific coast today:

Beautiful, eh?  Then about 6:30, I went out on the [...]

Michael Godard Artwork

Back when I first started my website, I wanted to feature fine diamond and gemstone jewelry, but also fossils and artwork.  Since that time, I’ve downsized to gold and silver jewelry only, mainly because I wasn’t able to do justice to the fossils and artwork.
But my husband and I are collectors of different types of [...]

More on Denver: Denver Museum of Science & History and more….

We had only 2-1/2 days in Denver, a whole list of things to do, and we accomplished only a few of them.  I previously showed you Red Rocks natural amphitheatre.  We also went to the Genesis concert–I could have kicked myself for forgetting my camera–I would have loved to get some close-ups of Phil Collins [...]

Trip to Denver–Red Rocks Natural Amphitheatre

We just made a trip to Denver.  Not a gem or fine jewelry buying trip–it was a trip just for fun.  Actually, we love to go to concerts, and since one of my favorite groups, Genesis, was touring and not coming to our area, we decided to see them in Denver, since neither of us [...]

Do you have an online business?  Sell at eBay?  Or at any other auction site?  Do you shop for household or hobby items online?  Have questions [...]

Last Summer Weekend in Newport, Oregon

We spent the last summer weekend at the beach–we usually stay in the Lincoln City area, but this time, we fired up the motorhome and went to Newport, Oregon, which is the Lincoln County seat.  Newport not only has miles of beautiful beach, it also has the bay.  The bayfront is an interesting combination of [...]

OSU Football Season Here–Black Diamond & Orange Sapphire Ring on Sale!

Here in Oregon, we love our two college football teams:  The Oregon State University Beavers in Corvallis, and the University of Oregon Ducks, in Eugene.
Having worked in Corvallis for many years, I know how the diehard Beaver fans love black and orange clothing, shoes, jewelry, etc, to wear to the games.  In fact, we just [...]
